Unstoppable Musician Project
How Do I Become An Unstoppable Musician?
Vol. 1 — free PDF and paperback on Amazon. Tightly scoped to core concepts the way The French School of Music taught them for six decades in Plainfield, NJ, with videos so you can actually apply this together with the step-by-step instructions.
Vol. 2 — paperback on Amazon. Uses Vol. 1 as a launchpad to take a deeper dive into topics that would dilute Vol. 1’s focus on core concepts.
Vol. 3 — from a teaching perspective, much of the original Solfege Teaching Guide but expanded. 3/2026: Started work, then did a faceplant. I’m tapped out. Need to fill the well back up first. Available on Amazon TBD.
Dannhaüser Solfege Book I Piano Accompaniment
Original Material
The Unstoppable Musician (Chinese translation) - this was done by Cathie, an astronomer in Shanghai, using ChatGPT. Thank you!!!
Solfege Teaching Guide - the original available on Amazon in Kindle and paperback. This will be discontinued when all three Unstoppable volumes are published in paperback and hardcopy form on Amazon and officially labeled First Edition.
Unstoppable Musicianship Book 1 Bootcamp - covering Dannhaüser Book 1, taught the way Mlle. Combe taught solfege at French School (plus some critical additions from exposure at Juilliard). March 18, 2026 will be the five-year anniversary for the bootcamp. There will be a permanent price change to acknowledge this milestone. Part of the reason I created this was because I wasn’t good enough to both play the piano accompaniment and correct/reinforce student singers at the same time. By the time we ended our run as the final generation of French School teachers, we were well over our skis and making more mistakes than our students. The bootcamp would allow teachers to hit a play button for the piano accompaniment audio, then help their students in real-time (for example, reinforcing melody notes when students are off-key).
Part 1 covers exercises 1 - 100
Part 2 covers exercises 101 - 171
Origin Story
L’Étude du Piano (The Study of Piano) - Mlle. Combe had a very wrecked copy of this book, with many areas marked in pencil. This is a work in progress and contains both the original French text and English translation (using an online translator), as well as the areas she highlighted. This is the origin story for my dad’s book Fundamentals of Piano Practice.
L’Étude du Piano (Chinese translation) - also done by Cathie using ChatGPT, of the portions highlighted by Mlle. Combe.
L’Art de Développer Le Sentiment Musical Chez l’Enfant (The Art of Developing Musical Sentiment in Children) - referenced in L’Étude du Piano and highlighted by Mlle. Combe.
Conseils d’Un Professeur (Advice from a teacher) - referenced in L’Étude du Piano, OCR, translated, no clean up.
Les Timides et La Timidité (Shy People and Shyness) - referenced in L’Étude du Piano, partially translated, more for therapists, mostly out of scope.
